Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
— Matthew 22:36-39 - ESV

love god

We love God because He first loved us—unconditionally, sacrificially, and completely. His love gives us identity, purpose, and hope, and it transforms every part of our lives. As our Creator, He invites us into a real relationship, not just religion—a daily walk of faith, trust, and love. Jesus called loving God the greatest commandment, not out of obligation, but because we were made for love. At LCFI Church, this love is at the centre of everything we do—it's why we gather, serve, grow, and share the hope we’ve found in Him.

love each another

We are a community where love is the foundation that binds us together—expressed through affection rooted in the Father’s love for us, a deep sense of belonging where each person is valued, and acceptance that embraces our uniqueness. With Christ as our foundation, our community is built on the values of genuine friendship, where relationships are deep and authentic, and a sense of family, where everyone is cared for and supported. It’s a place of meaningful interactions, where every conversation and connection matters, and where fun is embraced, bringing us closer together in laughter and fellowship.

love our neighbour

We are a community devoted to showing God’s love through simple, everyday acts of service. It's part of who we are—meeting needs with compassion, offering help without hesitation, and loving others the way Jesus loves us. Whether it’s sharing a meal, offering a ride, helping with a move, or simply being present in someone’s time of need, we believe that service is a sacred expression of God’s heart. In all we do, we want people to experience His love—not just in words, but through the kindness, humility, and care we show as a family rooted in Christ.

simplicity

The value of simplicity in doing church lies in focusing on the essentials—loving God, loving others, and sharing the gospel—without unnecessary complexity. By stripping away distractions, we create space for authentic worship, meaningful relationships, and a clear, powerful message. Simplicity allows us to stay grounded in our mission, fostering a community where people can easily connect with God and one another, and experience the transformative power of His love in a straightforward, genuine way. It also invites a spirit of sincerity—where faith isn’t masked by performance, but expressed honestly and humbly from the heart.

scripture

We believe that Biblical teaching is crucial because it lays the groundwork for understanding God's will and plan for our lives. It helps us grow in knowledge and wisdom and guides us to live according to God's truth. Through Scripture, we learn to distinguish right from wrong, find comfort during tough times, and make better decisions. Good biblical teaching also strengthens our faith by revealing God's character, the life and love of Jesus, and how we’re called to love and serve others. As we engage with God's Word, we not only gain understanding but are drawn into deeper intimacy with Him—hearing His voice, knowing His heart, and walking closely in step with His Spirit. This ongoing transformation makes us more like Christ and better prepared for life’s challenges. Without biblical teaching, we risk losing touch with the truth, so it’s essential for every believer to stay rooted in Scripture.
